The structure of paracetamol is HO–C₆H₄–NH–CO–CH₃ (a benzene ring with an –OH group and, in the para position, an –NH–CO–CH₃ group).
Which one of the following functional groups is present in paracetamol?

The correct answer is D) Amide.
The side group is –NH–CO–CH₃: a nitrogen attached straight to a C=O. That's an amide.
It's easy to say "amine" because there's an N–H, but once the nitrogen sits next to a carbonyl it's an amide. The –OH on the ring is a phenol, which isn't one of the options.
